This is the official walkthrough for Icy Reception.
Walkthrough[]
Slide carefully down the icy tunnel.
Ice Wand Cavern[]
After the tunnel opens into a vast cavern, head to the right.
Climb the ice ledges. As you come to the top, you spot a new toy glowing on a nearby platform: the Ice Wand.
Drop down to the small ledge below. Don't slide off as you land; this jump is tricky. Turn and leap to the platform holding the Ice Wand. As you land, falling rocks destroy the bridge to the exit.
Jump back to the small ledge and over to the exit.
Rolling Stones again[]
As you start down the passage, it's time to run again. That gigantic marble is hot on your tail.
Run as hard as you can and be very careful of the slippery ice. About halfway down, rocks fall in front of you. Pause to avoid running under them. Chase these new rocks down the tunnel. The rocks burst through the seeming dead end of this tunnel, providing you with an exit.
Daylight[]
As you emerge, immediately sidestep away from the tunnel's exit until the pursuing rock passes by. Pass the time by sniping at Ladybugs.
Go right along the rocky ledge.
Caterpillar[]
After you reach the end, turn to face the twin steam vents in the cavern. Your destination is the very high ledge on the other side of the cavern. Jump onto the first vent and, as soon as possible, move to the second vent.
View Alice from above and keep her centered on the vent until she reaches sufficient height to leap to the high ledge. Walk up the pathway to meet Caterpillar.
Notes[]
- Navigating on the ice is difficult. Move opposite the direction you're sliding to stop your motion. If, for example, you're sliding to the left, tap the strafe right key until you stop.
- During the Ice Wand Cavern, the path on the left is a much longer and more difficult route to the same place. However, there are several Meta-Essence crystals available, which come in handy.
